Wind Chimes, the Gift of Music
About Me
Wind Chimes, the Gift of Music

Ever since childhood, I’ve been a musical person. At the age of seven, I started taking piano lessons. When I was a teenager, I began singing solos at community events. Not surprisingly, I adore wind chimes. Every time the wind blows, these beautiful music makers spring into action. Their soothing, melodious, and high pitched sound calms and refreshes me. I am amazed at the amount of eclectic wind chimes available for sale at various retailers. One can enjoy the music of pig, cat, or even seashell themed wind chimes. If you know someone who enjoys natural harmonies, wind chimes make a perfect gift. On this blog, you will discover how to buy the right set of wind chimes for your loved one. Enjoy!

Four Tips For Putting An Outdoor Chaise Lounge In A Great Position

Tyler Morgan

The typical chaise lounge is a long and retractable chair with thick cushions and a lever for controlling the angle at which the seat is oriented relative to the ground. Whether you like to read outside or just enjoy soaking in nature, a chaise lounge is a great choice for a large patio or backyard. If you do decide to get a chaise lounge for outdoor use, just remember these four tips for putting it in a great position.

Consider What Direction Sunlight Will Come From

When you're sitting in your chaise lounge, the last thing you want is sunlight directly in your face. So when you're placing the chair in your patio or backyard, don't forget to take where sunlight will come from during certain times of the day into account.

If you're only really planning to sit on your chaise lounge in the evening, this doesn't have to be a huge concern. If you just want to use it in the late afternoon, you can overlook the chair facing where the sun first appears before crawling across the sky. Ultimately, you have to take your own lounging preferences into account.

Find A Surface That Doesn't Vary Or Slope A Lot

You'll only really be comfortable in a lounge chair if it's set on completely smooth and consistent ground. This means that wherever it's possible, you should set your chaise lounge on a paved patch of patio or backyard instead of raw dirt.

If You See Many Anthills On The Ground, Try To Keep Away From Them

It would be really tough to eliminate ants from your property just for the purpose of keeping them from interfering in your outdoor lounging time. But as far as bugs are concerned, not all patches of your patio or backyard are created equal. When you're selecting a spot for your chaise lounge, prioritize areas that are far away from any anthill clusters you see.

Stay As Close As You Can To Heat Sources Like Fire Pits

Even when it's not wintertime, a sudden and chilly gust of wind can make you very uncomfortable. To mitigate the effects of a possible bout of cold weather, putting your chaise lounge next to an artificial heat source like a fire pit is essential.

Of course, you don't need to have a fire going in the fire pit all the time. To save fuel and firewood, only use it when it's most needed.

It's surprising how much thought has to go into lounge placement if you want to maximize comfort while you're in your patio or backyard. Hopefully, finding a really great outdoor spot for a chaise lounge will encourage you to go outside and read more often.
